Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, didn't expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

As Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she's never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.

My Own Review:

The Host is one of my lifetime favorite Novel. Very very unforgettable and heart-pacing story. Aside from the Alien plot. God, the love story is one of the best and unique of all. It's like a rare exquisite cuisine only found in one resto. See what I mean?

Anyway, let's talk about the Movie versus the book. The book is better, though it's longer. But still, you can really feel everything in the book than the movie, and it contain more information and feelings in there. But at least the movie is 60% related to the Book than any other Movies out there. Believe me.

I'm battling myself right now whether I tell about a snippet of their love story. But I know myself and when I start babbling here I'm afraid I can't stop and I'll end up a spoiler, but if I won't write, my feelings about how much I miss this book will burst on my heart! So to be safe, I will hold my horses to keep myself from talking. That's all for now.
